Learning Points:
Upon interviewing with Verdian through Skype, I do find out the useful points. First of all, he thinks that text can help to convey the message of the video better. But it still depends on what kind of video you are doing. Besides, he also said that the camera and lens do affect the quality outcome of the video as a different camera and lens have different sharpness and effects applied to them.
His suggestion for the fresh graduates that are keen to step into the videography industry is building physically and mentally endurance. Physical endurance means your body needs to be fit. For example, shooting under the hot sun, make sure you are able to sustain. For mentally endurance, he had yelled by his boss many times when he started working in a full-time job. But don’t get it hard, as it will help you get better and better. I am agreed with him, as I do have the experience for what he said in physical endurance. Before I was working as a videographer, and need a lot of stamina. This is because you need to carry a heavy camera and running around to take the shots.
Lastly, I also agreed with what he pointed out at my portfolio. He told me to explore more techniques like the different angle and ways of editing. I also admit that I am always working in my comfort zone, like always edit using Adobe Premiere Pro only.
